Slavic Christian Academy (Tacoma Campus) is a K-10 private school located at 2014 S 15 Street, Tacoma, WA 98405. We serve many families of first-generation immigrants to the US with Slavic origin. Thus, teacher's experience with ESL students as well as the desire to be flexible in working with people of different cultural backgrounds is preferable, yet not necessary; a teachable heart is the most important thing to us.
We are accepting applications for the following position:
- Full-time middle school teacher (emphasis in History, Math, and Science).
- Full-time Second Grade teacher.
Some of the requirements include:
- a born-again Evangelical Christian,
- a heart for teaching as well as a desire to serve in a Christian school,
- degree in education preferred, Bachelors of Arts or Science considered,
- teacher certification (ACSI or state) preferred, not required.
Slavic Christian Academy is a member of ACSI, using A Beka curriculum in elementary grades. Experience in teaching this curriculum is HIGHLY preferred. Our school operates on a traditional school year calendar (early Sept -- mid June), we teach five days a week M-Fr. Teachers participate in chapels, field trips, organize and run extra-curricular activities.
